Veracrypt mounts over network drive

Since VeraCrypt 1.17, extracted in a folder, on Windows 10 I cannot get VeraCrypt to mount the decrypted device to my selected drive letter O:. Instead it always mounts to H: which is a mounted network drive.
I have tried to tinker with the HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\MountedDevices thingy, but VeraCrypt persists and uses the already used H: drive.
VeraCrypt 1.18beta does not fix a thing either.
VeraCrypt 1.16 still works flawlessly and mounts the decrypted drive to the target O:.

Try the following command line as Administrator to erase the Windows Mount Manager cache:

mountvol.exe /r

Reboot computer.

PS: Have all VeraCrypt volumes dismounted before issuing the command.

The workaround has worked perfectly, many thanks!
It would be real cool if this could be documented in the troubleshooting documentation.

Cheers, mate!

Sorry, I just found that is was documented in known issues.
Having three different sections Troubleshooting, known issues and FAQ is quite ambiguous, on a user perspective and it dilutes the documentation. I think that everything that feels like an unexpected behavior, workaround-able should be put in troubleshooting.
