USB not detected after aborting the initial encryption process

description

Hi
I attached my 64GB USB to Mac Book Pro running the latest EL Capitan version. I reserved 32 GB as container for encryption and started the initial process. But mid-way during the encryption, I aborted the process since it was taking long time. Now my USB is not detected in any OS. Not OS X nor Windows 7 nor Debian.

Please advice.

keep_flyin, did you manage to fix the problem? What issues did you have to fix? How are you currently using it now?

I cannot give advices about VC, but for USB on PC I had similar problems.
On advice is to run a low level format tool working on USB.
HDDLLF worked for me
http://hddguru.com/software/HDD-LLF-Low-Level-Format-Tool/

I found this page on LLF for Mac, but did not test
https://www.techwalla.com/articles/low-level-format-for-mac-os-x

check also that the partitioning of disk cannot be reorganized (with DISKPART on windows, Linux GPARTED).
