Trying to Encrypt New Computer

Hello. Thank you for looking at my post.

I purchased two new computers, identical laptops. Acer Predator 17 G9-793-79PE. It has a C drive (SSD 256 gig) and a D hard disk drive. The operating system and some other software programs go into the SSD, and all the other files go on the D drive.

When I installed VeraCrypt, I selected to encrypt the entire C drive. When it came time to do the test, it said it failed and my computer is not encrypted. I tried the process again, but no change in results.

When I went to the menu, it no longer lists the c and d drives as available to encrypt.

The research I did says that the drives are not encrypted because the program is not installed in the location to be encrypted. However, when I checked, it is in fact installed at c:\program files\veracrypt. Now I don't know what to do.

Any help will be appreciated!!

Thank you!
