I have an old Windows Server 2003, and I want to create a TC Container file of 1TB size (i have over 3TB free file space). The problem is that whenever I try to format a container that is larger than about 800GB (less than 1 TB), I get the message that there is not enough space available on that volume, which is not true.

VeraCrypt Volume Creation Wizard

Es steht nicht genug Speicherplatz auf dem Datenträger zur Verfügung.

Why does this happen, and is it possible to split the files somehow in order to work? I need large containers, and I cannot use volumes instead, so how can I make sure VC can handle such large container files?
