Question about installation on a new laptop

This will be my first time using Veracrypt and Linux (Debian), I have previously done full system encryption on Windows only.

I got a new laptop, it currently has Windows but I plan to reformat the drive and install a Debian distro.

What is the recommended order to do things in, that would also be the quickest? (keeping in mind that I don't care what is on the current drive now since it's a Windows OS)

I will want full system encryption where at boot it asks for a password.

Thanks

Oh darn, I see that Veracrypt can't do full disk (system) on Linux like it does on Windows.

You can fully encypt your linux system (linux installer asks if you want to encrypt whole system) and still use vecarypt for linux to mount windows partitions, but how to correctly install both on one disk I don't know, I use two hard drives and change the boot order in bios (stupid, but foolproof). Btw. if will go this way, do not forget to remove windows drive before installing linux or it could overwrite veracrypt boot loader.
