I have installed Windows 10 Enterprise 1507 (Threshold 1) with Veracrypt 1.19 system encryption and realized that the automatic update prozess couldn't install the major updates to 1511 and 1607. A few times Windows loads a big update package and reboots but ends in the advanced startup options with choosing a language and after this the update is rolled back. Luckily the bootsector with Veracrypt bootloader isn't brocken. I also tried to update to 1607 manual with the setup.exe from the Windows 10 1607 .iso with same effect.

Is the only solution to decrypt, update and encrypt system which will consume the ssd lifetime?

Is there a certain 'danger' given when Windows 10 automatically install updates and probally overwrites the truecrypt bootsector?

You most likely need to Decrypt -> Install update/upgrade ->Encrypt
