Topics: Technical Issues

I am trying to encrypt my whole drive but when running VeraCrypt I can not choose "Encrypt the whole drive" because it is greyed out. What do I need to do?

Thank you for your help.

Hello,

VeraCrypt prevents using the "Encrypt the whole drive" option when the system disk is using GPT structure due to the EFI System Partition is needed without being encrypted.

If you have other user partitions on your system drive that you want to encrypt and you want them to mount at the same time when you boot-up, you can use System Favorites using the same password and optional PIM value that you used when you encrypted the OS partition.
