System Favourites & Windows anniversary

I did the windows anniversary update for windows 10 the other day. First of all it failed - quick google bought be here FDE apparently is a cause of that.

I decrypted my system drive (leaving my other drive still encrypted), successfully applied the update the second time round, then immediately re-encrypted the system drive with the same password.

Now however - I can not make the second hard drive unlock with the first drive. The passwords are the same, neither drive has PIM set, I've added the second drive to the list of system favourites as the D drive, exactly as it was before. I've tried ticking the use volume ID box, nothing seems to want to make it unlock at windows start. [the mount system favourites when windows starts is ticked]

Any pointers or help? The only thing that changed was I decrypted, updated to windows anniversary and the re encrypted... and now I'm stumped

I assume that you can manually mount the second volume successfully. Correct?

Try removing and adding back the second volume to the System Favorites.

I can mount it indeed.

I have done - to no avail.
