Mounted volume access rights - should be readable only by current user

Volume is mounted with access rights allowing all users of PC to have access to mounted volume directories and files.

Should be mounted with more restrictive rights.

You can achieve this by assigning proper file and folder permissions. On linux this works perfectly, other user have no idea there's something mounted, if you mount it for example in your home directory. But even on windows you can achieve this with NTFS file system. The only downside on windows is, that the letter is always visible to all users in my computer, but when configure properly, other users cannot view its contents. But admins can take ownership of course...

This doesn't work in the following scenario:

1) Container on a USB stick
2) Mounting at work using a domain account
3) Mounting at home using a local account

Please support an option "Mount for current user only"!

As mentioned by nickles, this won't work if you try to use encrypted volume on different auth domains. Even between two PC's not in domain (or PC in domain and standalone PC, or PCs in different domains), user account and group SIDs are unique and will differ not allowing this to work properly.

So it's still in need to use removable devices or crypto containers on shared media - mount for current user only or with restrictive access rights on mounted volume.

We would need the same feature. Users are connected via Citrix and should not even see the mounted drive. Only the owner itself should see and manage it.

Reason: There is confidential data on that drive that must not be visible even by sysadmins.
And the risk that some data could be accidentally visible for other users is too high and must be eliminated completely.

Maybe we would even donate for that feature. (in my opinion it is a bug that the drive and its content can be seen by other users on the same host. Makes encryption superfluous!)
