Mount only for current user?

Topics: Users Discussion

If I mount a VeraCrypt drive and then switch users, the other user can see the mounted drive too. Can I avoid that? I'm running on Windows 10.

Thanks,
tim

Hello Tim,

VeraCrypt does not control file access security which is controlled by the OS. To get a better answer to your question, you should post your file access question on the vendor forum for your OS.

Secustar's DriveCrypt offers the mount option "Mount for the current user only". A very good option, that I'm missing when using a container on an USB stick that is mounted at home (using a local login) and at work (using a domain login).
I'd really opt for such an option being implemented...

Since mine is formatted as NTFS, I ended up just locking down security on mine to just me. But yeah, it would still be a nice feature.
