VeryCrypt do not detect my TrueCrypt full hard drive encrytion

Hi,

I'd like to migrate from TC to VC, and I have my hard drive fully encrypted with TC... I would like to use TC to decrypt the HD, but I have a TC error which is avoiding me to run the program (see below)...

When I use VC, the program do not detect the TC encrypted HD and looks like to consider it as a normal unencrypted HD...

Anyone have an idea of what I can do ?
Thanks for your help :)
s.

The TrueCrypt error I got when I open the program is listed below:

Per the documentation, you cannot convert TrueCrypt system encryption to VeraCrypt. You will have to decrypt the system encryption using TrueCrypt and system encrypt with VeraCrypt.

When do you get the error in TC? When you attempt to open the GUI or when you select Permanently Decrypt System Partition/Drive?

Thanks for your answer ;)

Yes, my first choice was to use TC to decrypt my drive, and this is when I want to open the GUI that I'm getting that error message... I was thinking about to uninstall TC and use a portable TC to decrypt, but I cannot uninstall TC properly (I'm advised to decrypt the drive first), and I'm a little bit worried that my system is not going to like if I do it by removing all the instance in the registry... ;)

Have you tried reinstalling/upgrade TC?

You can download TC version you are using and install it choosing the option reinstall/upgrade which will require a reboot.

This will replace/repair missing files or damaged files.

Edit:
Be sure to install and run the TC application logged-in as the administrator or having administrator privileges.
