Hi I currently have Cent Os 6 with a minimum install using C Panel and WHM. My question is... is it possible without the GUI to install Veracrypt and operate it fully?

To confirm I am looking to do a full drive encryption and to wipe all free space also for data protection reasons.

I cant seem to find any tutorials online on how to do this.

Can somebody point me in the right direction if this is possible?

Hi,

Yes, VeraCrypt is available in a console only version for Linux. Just download the official Linux archive and install veracrypt-1.0f-2-setup-console-x64 or veracrypt-1.0f-2-setup-console-x86 depending on the architecture you use (64-bit or 32-bit).

You can find the switches supported by VeraCrypt by typing: veracrypt –h

There are no Linux tutorial for the moment by you can look for TrueCrypt resources to give an idea on how to proceed with VeraCrypt. For example: https://wiki.archlinux.org/index.php/TrueCrypt

Please not that on Linux, VeraCrypt doesn't support in-place encryption, so formatting a partition will overwrite its data.

Don't hesitate to post any specific question if you encounter any issues.

And for windows?

I must create a new volume without GUI. It seems to be not possible in windows.
