Is there an alternative to the PGP key preferably SHA-2?

If I understand your question correctly, you are asking if there is an alternative to the hash algorithm SHA-2. For now, you can choose Whirlpool as a very good alternative. It is based on Miyaguchi-Preneel construction which has excellent security features.

In VeraCrypt, you can choose Whirlpool as your digest algorithm.

In your question, you are talking about PGP. Are you asking about PGP or VeraCrypt?

Thank you for your response. I was asking for SHA-2 string for download verification. PGP key hasn't been updated since 2007
