Pretest Failed

description

Installed Vera Crypt on windows 10 Pro 64 bit on a Lenovo Yoga 260 - performed system Encryption Pretest - selected Yes to restart system - which actually shut down the system - turned system on - was not asked to enter the password that was setup for Vera Crypt - Logged on to system and Vera Crypt Volume Creation Wizard popped up - stating The VeraCrypt system encryption pretest failed. Do you want to try again? select yes or no ? I have tried both yes and no and get the same results??

Hey. Try System Encryption, on shutdown/restart go to BIOS immediately. Look for "Boot Priorities" or similar and see if you can change the bootloader order. Probably the VC Bootloader is after the windows bootloader in priority, thus he is not triggered on startup. If you change it, so that VeraCrypt Loader is first, then it should be working. Hope I could help you!
