Hi! I just want to share my Samsung 840 pro benchmark results with everyone and see what thoughts others have about these:

AS SSD Benchmark, not encrypted:
Seq Read: 511,44 MB/s
Seq Write: 368,20 MB/s
4K Read: 21,76 MB/s
4K Write: 48,11 MB/s
4K64Thrd Read: 370,83 MB/s
4k64Thrd Write: 258,82 MB/s
Access time Read: 0,140 ms
Access time Write: 0,087 ms
Score Read: 444
Score Write 344
Score Total: 1013

AS SSD, encrypted (AES, SHA512):
Seq Read: 386,08 MB/s
Seq Write: 327,45 MB/s
4K Read: 14,50 MB/s
4K Write: 35,48 MB/s
4K64Thrd Read: 29,49 MB/s
4k64Thrd Write: 63,99 MB/s
Access time Read: 0,304 ms
Access time Write: 0,090 ms
Score Read: 83
Score Write 132
Score Total: 260

I was really surprised to find out this, was thinking something between 5-15% degradation... Of course it's just one test, others may give different results... But has anyone else had this kind of results or is it just my system? Well, I'll test my other PC next monday, it has OCZ Vertex 2. And I'll test with many different tests.

Could someone explain what is the cause of this?

Did you get any different results on the OCZ?

Can you please post the CPU you're using and the results of veracrypt benchmarks?

What software are using for those benchmarks? I have a Samsung SSD drive and would like to share my benchmark as well.
