Issues encrypting the entire system due to GUID (GPT) partition

Help! I am trying to encrypt my desktop and laptop but I keep getting the same message on both: "your system drive has a GUID partition table (GPT). Currently, only drives with a MBR partition table are supported."

I have no idea what this means, besides that it is not supported. Both computers originally ran on Windows 8 but have both been upgraded and running Windows 10. I need to figure out how to have MBR partitions or what they even are!

Please help so I can get this functioning on my computers.

A first implementation of EFI system encryption that target GPT system partition have been released but it is a technology preview that is meant for testing purposes since the implementation is not mature yet.
Tests done internally show that it is working but it lacks important features like Rescue Disk support.
