Rememeber "TrueCrypt-Mode" checkbox when Auto-Mount Devices

Topics: Technical Issues

I have an external USB hard disk which was created by TrueCrypt.
When I click the button "Auto-Mount Devices" I have to enable/tick the checkbox beside "TrueCrypt Mode". Then the hard disk is successfully found and mounted.

However the next time I start VeraCrypt and click "Auto-Mount Device" button the
checkbox is empty again. This is user unfriendly.

Can I setup VeraCrypt so that it always remembers the last state of this checkbox (and enables it automatically)?

Hello Peter,

No. Is there a reason you cannot convert the TrueCrypt volume to VeraCrypt?

As long as the TrueCrypt format version is 2, you can easily convert the volume to VeraCrypt. Mount the TC volume, in the GUI right click on the mounted volume and select Properties. If the Volume Format Version is 2, you can use the documentation below to convert the volume to VeraCrypt.
