Windows 10 compatibility

I have subscribed to upgrade to Windows 10 upon its release (July 29).
I am currently using Windows 8.1 and Veracrypt 1.0e. Only my data is encrypted (My Documents and such), the rest of the PC is not encrypted. The operating system is not installed on an encrypted partition.
I would like to be sure that I will recover my encrypted data after the OS upgrade just by using Veracrypt as I did before - no backup / restore ?

I would disconnect any external drives/partitions that are encrypted to prevent Windows OS upgrade from initializing the encrypted drives/partitions which has happened in the past for TrueCrypt users.

If the encrypted drive/partition is an internal drive or on the system drive, be sure to have backups of the data. I am not sure how the Microsoft OS upgrade will react to the My Documents folder being located elsewhere rather than being located on the C drive.
