Disk image question

Hi folks

I'm sure this can be done, but wanted to get clarification to be certain.

Will it work, if you create a disk image of the rescue disk you made, when doing a system encryption ? That way if anything ever happens to the disk, you can just burn another one.

Or does this not work ?

many thanks

Yes you can but you should always test first before relying on it.

A smarter thing to do would be to go to system/create rescue disk/ and save the ISO somewhere safe and on something other than your system disk.

When you need to recover or repair you can burn the ISO using another computer.

Remember the rescue ISO you make will only work on the specific disk you create it from.

Hi,

Yes, you can create an image of the rescue disc.
As you know, the rescue disc is created first as an ISO image during the process of system encryption and by default it is stored under the "Documents" folder. So, if you didn't delete this ISO file, you can use it as your backup for the rescue disc.
